What people use red light for

Sore muscles and stiff joints

The device is FDA-cleared for temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, arthritis aches and muscle spasms. Many patients add a session after an adjustment.

Inflammation after a flare-up

A 15–20 minute session over a sore area is a comfortable, no-needle option that fits easily into a regular visit.

Skin that looks tired

Red light at 635 nm is widely used for firmer, brighter-looking skin. It is gentle, non-invasive and there is no downtime.

Body contouring

The Contour Light is FDA-cleared as a non-invasive aesthetic treatment for reducing the circumference of the waist, hips and thighs. Results vary from person to person.

Hard-to-shift inches

Contouring sessions run about 25 minutes and are followed by time on the T-Zone whole body vibration plate to keep you moving.

A no-downtime option

You lie comfortably under the LED pads, then go straight back to your day. Nothing is injected and nothing is heated.

How it works

How a red light session works

1. A quick check first

Dr. Lichy asks what you want help with and makes sure red light is a sensible option for you. If your exam points somewhere else, he tells you.

2. Pain and inflammation sessions

The LED pads are placed over the sore area for about 15–20 minutes. It feels warm and relaxing. Many patients pair it with an adjustment or electrotherapy.

3. Body contouring sessions

Pads are wrapped around the waist, hips or thighs for about 25 minutes, then you spend a few minutes on the T-Zone vibration plate. A series of sessions is typical.

4. Honest expectations

Red light is a support tool, not a replacement for movement, sleep and nutrition. Dr. Lichy will tell you what he realistically expects for you, and results vary.

Results vary from person to person. Dr. Lichy will tell you honestly what he expects for your situation and when to see a medical specialist instead.

Does it hurt?

No. Most people describe it as gentle warmth. You lie still for the session and can go back to work right after.
